In Broad Daylight

If this carousel creature is this disconcerting in broad daylight, try to imagine what it must have been like to climb atop him in the dark of night, with carousel music playing and everything spinning around and around. . .


And today, I’m linking up with Project 64. . . sounds like a fun time.  This, my dear friends, would be my interpretation of Lavender.  Sort of.

When I first saw the theme for this week’s You Capture, I was beating myself up trying to think of something clever that starts with L. . . I’m not going to embarass myself by telling you how I struggled to come up with something original.  Then, one morning, I just chuckled.  I realized that every day of my life starts with the letter L.  Then moves on to the letter R. . .



The truth hurts

 So, I’ve been thinking lately about food. . . I guess that’s a natural by-product of not posting on Sarah’s blog anymore.  (Sorry Sarah, unless someone proves otherwise, I’m going to consider the food blog dead.)  So. . . right. . . food. . .

You see, the other day I woke up with the realization that I had buttermilk in the fridge, and I have a vague memory of my mom rolling out cinnamon rolls when I was young.  I thought to myself, “If this is something that my mom had the energy to do (while raising five bratty children), it couldn’t be that hard.”  With that thought in mind, I headed to the kitchen. . .
