Hard at Work

26 Jul

This is what I worked on today. . .  Have I mentioned how different being a YS Librarian is from being a Branch Manager?

Family Time

18 Jul

I just realized that I’ve been spending quite a bit of time with my family this summer.  And no time at all sewing.  Maybe one day, I will sew again.

Okay, okay, the goat’s not technically family, but he was harassed by Lexie. . . or was this Lane and Leighton’s?  Regardless, you kind of have to feel sorry for the goat, right?

For Aunt Sara

14 Jul

Also known as proof that I had three cups of coffee yesterday.  I cut the yard in one hour and ten minutes!  And boy were the cows hanging around, hoping I’d shovel the piles and piles of cut grass over to their side of the fence.

Also, for those of you with unused jars of that brown sugar scrub we made in Spa Day hanging around. . . I figured out the cookie recipe.  So, if you don’t want to scrub your face with it, make cookies!

Spa Day Cookies
1 jar brown sugar scrub
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pkg. chocolate chips

Drain the excess oil off of the top of your jar of sugar scrub. Dump the sugar scrub into a mixing bowl, and add the egg. Stir it all around. Then add your flour, salt and baking soda, and mix it all up. Add the chocolate chips, stir, and then bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes. Yummy cookies!

Chronicle of a Day

I’d not done it since. . . and since I didn’t have anything better to do, I decided to chronicle my day. . . but since I started about half way through the day, I decided to chronicle a day and a half or so. . . and here it is.
