One of life’s moral delimmas. . . is it better to quilt pieces all in a row, when the pattern doesn’t make sense to get it done more quickly. . . or is it better to sew one star at a time?  And what is the point of machine quilting, when the whole idea of making a quilt is hearkening back to the olden days, when the pace of life was a little slower?  That being said, this quilt is SO going to be done before Christmas.  I’m like an impoverished factory worker, churning bits out – that, at the moment, make absolutely no sense to me.

I’ve had that feeling too, of being a bit like a garment industry worker when I’m piecing to a deadline. At least we can take a break whenever we need to 🙂

Or when we’re ready to kill our sewing machines? My bobbin was possessed last night, and I was glad to walk away. You are so right.
